Specialist support coordinators reduce complexity in your support environment and help overcome significant barriers to implementing your NDIS plan.
Our experienced practitioners have a background as an occupational therapist, psychologist or social worker. They are available to assist NDIS participants with additional high or complex needs that affect your living situation. They will work with you to resolve crises and complex situations and implement any necessary changes to your plan.
If you have funding for a Specialist Support Coordinator, we will support you to manage challenges in your support environment, which may include accessing allied health, education or justice services.
CareChoice support coordinators and specialist support coordinators have extensive knowledge of many local service providers and are obligated to offer unbiased information about a variety of services to avoid real or perceived conflicts of interest and unethical practices. Support coordinators and specialist support coordinators must act in the interests of the participant. They will take action if they have concerns about the quality or safety of the services you are receiving even if those services are provided by their own employer.
